    LPD Men's Basketball Records

Can somebody give me a listing of each men's basketball team in the LPD with both their conference records and overall records?
    Thanks a bunch....

I think it should be something like this if you count Saturday's game...

    Powell Valley 8-3 13-11
    JJ Kelly 7-4 13-10
    JI Burton 7-3 10-10
    Appalachia 6-4 15-6
    Pound 2-8 3-19
    Clintwood 1-9 2-19

I'm really proud of appalachia.... Could somebody give me some commentary on their season? Signature wins? key losses? and finally key players and statistics?

That is counting Saturday's games. I figured one of PV's games was a benefit game because the KTN had them with 23 regular season games in Saturday's paper, only 22 are allowed.

    Re: LPD Men's Basketball Records

I was using the numbers from the Coalfield Progress, so I think there was some discrepancy there too. The CP had Appalachia 14-6 going into Friday's game against Pound which they won. But, they are 15-7 in the KTN. That would make another non-district game they lost. I'm not really sure which is correct.

    Re: LPD Men's Basketball Records

I think right now, it's wide open.

Of the three teams playing for the top seed in the tournament, PV, JJK, and JIB, all have been up and down this season. PV defeated JJK on Saturday night but they dropped games to JIB and Clintwood at the end of the season. JIB and Appalachia seem to have some momentum going in their favor. In the past few years, I've seen Pound have a bad season and then come into the district tournament and advance to the Region tournament. Anything is possible!

Appy's shot at a title depends on how they shoot the 3 and how the game is called under the basket. I'd say they will get shoved out of the tourney.
